The Kaduna State House of
Assembly has passed into law a bill to create a logo for the state. This came
after the third reading of the bill on the floor of House.
The law cited as The Kaduna State
Logo law, 2015, provided an official logo for the state to be used in all
Official communications,
correspondences and transactions.
According to the law, any official
document or correspondence of government that does not bear the official logo
shall be invalid.
The new law enjoined all persons
in the employment of government to ensure strict compliance with the provisions
of the law.
The distinctive features of the
logo include its motto: Work and Worship; green vegetation, which means
Agriculture, Economy, Abundance and conservation. Crocodile stands for Strength,
Resilience, Indestructibility and Ancestry; while cattle implies Fertility,
Abundance and Nourishment.
