Criticism Trails Governor Shetimah’s Endorsement Of Abba Aji By Christiana Amakiri

Image result for sen. abba aji picturesThe perceived endorsement of Sen. Abba Aji by the Borno state governor Alhaji Kashim Shetima’s  has stirred criticisms from members of the Borno Central Senatorial District. Some of the persons our reporters spoke with said the endorsement of the former Special Adviser to ex President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is a slap on the face of those who fought for the All Progressives Congress  APC to become the first party in the history of the country to win from the opposition.
Comrade Abba Bukkar Masta who spoke with Parliamentary Info said the endorsement of the former PDP stalwart was not in the best interest of the APC or the Senatorial District. He urged the state Governor to rethink his perceived endorsement of Sen. Aji.
Comrade Abba Masta while reacting to our reporter's question on the perceived endorsement of Abba Aji said “If I may ask his Excellency, Where was Sen. Abba Aji throughout our period of travails? We were been killed, maimed, tortured, humiliated and our territories seized, he and his family are nowhere to be found only to appear now because by-election is approaching.
We have never received from him even a statement of condemnation not to talk of sympathy visit or providing a relief. Not even once.
Such a person can't be given a position of trust anymore, as he had clearly demonstrated he does not have "BORNO & its PEOPLE AT HEART" all he wants is just the "POWER/POSITION". Comrade Abba said
“Governance is all about serving people, not serving self. It can't be business as usual; I suggest that we should choose from the plethora of passionate and concerned sons and daughters of Borno but certainly not that selfish one time Senator. He concluded.

It should be noted that the Borno Centarl Senatorial seat was made vacant as a result of the death of Sen. Ahmed Zanna in May this year.
