Actor and movie maker turned politician, Desmond Olusola
Elliot it would seem has hit the grand running following his assumption of
political office and pirates beware!
The Lagos State House of Assembly member took time off his
busy schedule to hang out with colleagues in Nollywood last week Friday during
the premier of Tempting Fate, which was held at Silverbird Galleria, Victoria
Island, Lagos.
Dressed in a dark suit, Desmond cut a cute figure and when
finally he got a chance to address the audience, he hit the nail on the head!
“Say no to piracy,” his voice boomed, “the producer of this
movie has spent a fortune and we need to support him to recoup his investment.
I was at Ojuelegba today and I saw copies of AY’s 30 Days in Atlanta being sold
for N100.”
Desmond says he was so incensed he forgot he was a public
officer, hopped off his car and almost pounced on the hawkers. However, he
ordered them to pack their illicit wares and bit it! And your guess is as good
as mine, that was exactly what they did!
